Remember back in 2011 when Denmark banned Vegemite?
You don’t? Click here
I’ve only had the privilege of trying it a couple of hundred million times. Like most Aussies, I grew up on a healthy diet of Vegemite.
That got me thinking, what should Australia and the UK ban in retaliation?
They lived from 800 to 1200 in the period of time known as the Viking Age. Originally , they come not only from Denmark but also from Norway and Sweden. If vikings were banned then they would have to fill out a special section on customs declaration form before entering the UK. I doubt Vikings would eat the stuff.
+Lars Ulrich ( One of founders of Metallica )
He was born in Denmark. This facts is interesting, because in whole history only two famous performers of heavy metal were ever born in Denmark: King Diamond and Ulrich himself.
Who am I kidding? Metallica is awesome.
Among other things Danish people have invented the widely known children playthings LEGO. Lego started to produce toys in 1932. The really interesting fact , for the more than sixty years was sold over 320 billion units of Lego bricks all around the Globe. If we make very simple calculation we found out that every human being in the world is owner of about 56. If Lego was banned then James May would have to demolish his impressive full sized lego house.
+The Little Mermaid
Most Famous Danes is writer Hans Christian Andersen whose fairy tales (including The Little Mermaid) have been translated into more languages then any other book in the whole world (except off course the Bible). On the plus side, there’s enough salt in sea water to not notice how salty Vegemite actually is.
… Unless they have Marmite on them.
The word of the day is Vegemite, spread the word.
